# Why can't I open a linked document?

LINKED DOCUMENTS CAN BE STORED IN A NUMBER OF LOCATIONS AS PROVIDED BY YOUR
ORGANISATION

Linked documents can be stored in a number of locations as provided by your
organisation, some of which which may require you to be on the organisations
network or have specific access to the documents from your device.

There are a number of reasons why you can’t open a document link.

 

Possible Cause

Suggested Resolution 

You need to be on the organisation network, or have specific apps installed on
your device to gain access to the document

 

 * Connect your mobile device to your organisations Wi-Fi and try the link again

 * If using mobile broadband connection, try connecting over VPN to your
   organisation's network

 * Check with your IT department if you need to install specific apps on your
   phone to gain access e.g. Microsoft Intune Company Portal

 

You need specific access to a document

 

 * Depending on the mobile device you have used you may not be connecting to the
   network using the correct credentials, enter your organisations credentials
   when prompted

 * If you still can’t open the link contact your Manager for a resolution

 

The document may have been deleted, renamed or moved which can break the link

 

 * If the document link is broken, use the Report Resource Issue

   or contact your Manager for a resolution
